Volunteering at HMRC:
Volunteering is one of the most rewarding activities of any motorsports lover. They are at the core of any successful race track and volunteers at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit (HMRC). Both racers and track management appreciate each of those who enjoy our sport and help to provide a safe environment for everyone involved. If you have been working a position very long you know you have made a difference. You may have extinguished a fire, warned them of upcoming trouble, or spotted a problem with a car – saving the owner money or even saved a life. Your presence may have changed the lives of individuals you may never meet.
What We Do:
Several volunteers are required for each track event. Corner marshals are required to watch the track and the activities of the drivers. Each corner will be issued a set of flags and a radio. Our primary duties are to communicate with the drivers via flags and communicate with Central Control via radio. Being alert is vital. We watch for anomalies such as leaking fluids, loose bodywork, and FIRE. We need volunteers for technical inspection of cars, grid alignment and many other positions.
Getting Started:
Being a hero starts with a call to 918-356-4814 or email jennifer@hallettracing.net. Let us know your interest and availability. We will teach you what you need to know.
Compensation:
Our volunteers are here because they love our sport and want to be a big part of a great activity. Most of our events compensate volunteers for travel expense. Your greatest rewards are the many friends you make and the experiences you take with you for the rest of your life.
